Tracks like "Chain Gang," "Walk On The Wild Side," and "Don't Know Why I Love You" reveal the ensemble’s ability to navigate emotional terrain with warmth and precision, all while maintaining a relaxed, conversational feel that suits late-night listening or a quiet afternoon with the turntable. It’s a reminder that sometimes less is more, especially when the voices do the heavy lifting. This 1973 pressing presents the album on vinyl with a VG+ grade, meaning it carries some light surface marks and minor paper scuffs typical of regular play but nothing that should distract from the performance. For those who appreciate the directness of a compact ensemble without extra studio gloss, this pressing holds up well. The Persuasions’ approach here is like a well-rehearsed chat among friends—easy to follow and rewarding for anyone who values clarity and subtlety in their focused listening collection.

Track listing & samples

The Persuasions - We Came To Play

Side A

Chain Gang

Man, Oh Man

It's You That I Need

The Sun

Don't It Make You Want To Go Home

Side B

Walk On The Wild Side

Another Night With The Boys

Gypsy Woman

Don't Know Why I Love You

Let It Be
