Tracks like "Hexagram" and "When Girls Telephone Boys" reveal a band quietly experimenting with dynamics and mood, drawing subtle influence from groups like Tool and The Cure. It’s a snapshot of Deftones before they fully embraced their signature intensity, making this EP a fascinating listen for anyone interested in the band’s roots or the early ’90s alternative scene. This 2025 vinyl pressing arrives sealed, preserving the music in pristine condition for a fresh experience. Its compact format makes it a neat addition for collectors or newcomers who want to explore Deftones’ beginnings without committing to a full album. Since the record is sealed, it offers certainty about the sound quality and an opportunity to hear these formative tracks as if for the first time. Not every band’s early steps get this clear a spotlight—consider it a sonic footnote that’s easy to shelve but hard to forget.

Track listing & samples

Deftones - Deftones

Side A

Hexagram

Needles And Pins

Minerva

Good Morning Beautiful

Deathblow

When Girls Telephone Boys

Side B

Battle-Axe

Lucky You

Bloody Cape

Anniversary Of An Uninteresting Event

Moana
