Tracks like "No Reply At All" stand out with their unexpected collaboration featuring the EWF Horns, arranged by Tom Tom 84, adding a bright brass texture that contrasts with the typically synth-driven landscape. The album’s production, handled by the band themselves and engineered by Hugh Padgham, reflects a confident embrace of focused listening that balances accessibility with artistic ambition. Visually, the cover art by Bill Smith and Ralph Gobbits complements the album’s modern edge without overstating its approach. This 1981 vinyl pressing offers a chance to experience Abacab as it was heard upon release, with clean, near-mint vinyl that promises minimal surface flaws and clear sound. The record’s excellent condition ensures it slips into your collection without a hitch, making it a practical choice for fans who appreciate the tactile appeal of vinyl alongside the album’s distinctive blend of pop and prog elements. Given the album’s blend of acoustic ensemble moments and punchy production, it’s a record that sits comfortably between intimate detail and studio polish—no need to keep it in the dark.

Track listing & samples

Genesis - Abacab

Side A

Abacab

No Reply At All

Me And Sarah Jane

Keep It Dark

Side B

Dodo / Lurker

Who Dunnit?

Man On The Corner

Like It Or Not

Another Record

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0694/9932/2684/files/Ni0zODI5LmpwZWc_f51644cd-d7f4-406e-9c8c-4b5722ec05a3.jpg?v=1793571315
