Labels show only very minor marks. Jacket is a solid VG, close to VG+ if not for some small spots of paper loss on cover. Pictures are of actual album. Incredible playing copy of this very rare album.

Jim Reeves Sings offers an intimate glimpse into the early sound of a voice often associated with the smoother side of country and folk. The album unfolds with a modest acoustic ensemble, inviting focused listening to "I'll Follow You" and "Where Does A Broken Heart Go," where Reeves’s warm baritone carries a straightforward sincerity. Fans of mid-century country might find kinship here with artists such as Hank Snow or Marty Robbins, while the connection to figures like Elvis Presley and Kenny Rogers hints at the broader musical landscape Reeves inhabited. This 1955 pressing brings that era’s vibe to your turntable in a single LP format, presenting the material with the clarity typical of vinyl from that decade. The vinyl rates as VG+, indicating it should play well with only minor surface marks that don’t interfere with enjoyment. For those curious about early country’s quieter corners, this record invites a listen that’s more about subtle storytelling than loud declarations—proof that sometimes less really is more when it comes to the art of “singing.”

Track listing & samples

Jim Reeves - Jim Reeves Sings

Side A

I'll Follow You

Where Does A Broken Heart Go

Drinking Tequila

Mexican Joe

Give Me One More Kiss

Mother Went A Walkin

Side B

Penny Candy

My Rambling Heart

Red Eyed And Rowdy

Beatin' On The Ding Dong

The Wilder Your Heart Beats

Are You The One

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0694/9932/2684/files/517AE13D-FD7A-4B98-B732-9FD15F9DCBD9.jpg?v=1793134543
