The group's blend of focused listening and acoustic ensemble arrangements highlights the smooth vocals of Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill, giving the record a warm, approachable vibe without overdoing the production. It’s the kind of record that sits comfortably alongside other R&B staples but with its own distinct charm. This 1984 pressing reflects the era’s typical vinyl presentation and comes in a solid VG condition, meaning the record shows noticeable surface wear and may carry some background noise during playback, but remains fully playable. For those interested in the tactile feel of 80s R&B on vinyl, this copy serves up that experience with a clear sense of its time, even if it’s no silent guardian of pristine grooves. If your collection appreciates the transition from classic Motown-style groups to more contemporary R&B ensembles, this New Edition pressing fits neatly on the shelf—and your turntable.

Track listing & samples

New Edition - New Edition

Side A

Cool It Now

Mr. Telephone Man

I'm Leaving You Again

Baby Love

Delicious

Side B

My Secret

Hide And Seek

Lost In Love

Kinda Girls We Like

Maryann
