With production shared by Gary Lyons, Hughie Thomasson, and Billy Jones, the album benefits from a polished approach that highlights the band's instrumental interplay and vocal harmonies. The lineup features a robust ensemble including Rick Cua, David Dix, Mike Duke, Freddie Salem, and the guitar work and vocals of Thomasson and Jones, all contributing to a sound that stands out within their catalog. It's an album that reflects a band balancing the grit of hard rock with the melodic sensibilities they've honed over the years—a bit like a well-oiled machine shifting gears without losing momentum. This 1980 vinyl pressing offers a solid listen for those interested in this phase of Outlaws' evolution. The LP format brings the full scope of their sound into focus, making it a straightforward choice for collectors who appreciate clear presentation without the need to chase rarer editions. For anyone diving into Outlaws’ catalog, this pressing provides a dependable snapshot of their more rock-driven sound.
