The mix of raucous covers and originals offers a snapshot of the band’s range during a vibrant era for rock and roll. This 1966 pressing comes on vinyl in a format that’s well-suited to anyone interested in exploring The Kingsmen beyond their hit single. The record plays with a solid VG+ grade, meaning you can expect some light surface marks and minimal paper scuffs that shouldn’t interfere with the music’s punch. It’s a reliable choice for collectors or listeners who appreciate a bit of vintage character without trading off sound quality. After all, it’s not every day you find a record that invites you to up and away without needing a rocket.

Track listing & samples

The Kingsmen - Up and Away

Side A

Trouble

If I Needed Someone

Grass Is Green

Tossin' And Turnin

Under My Thumb

Wild Thing

Another Girl

Side B

Daytime Shadows

Shake A Tail Feather

Children's Caretaker

Land Of A Thousand Dances

Mustang Sally

Little Sally Tease

Hushabye
