Produced by Morris Day and The Starr * Company, this album features vocal contributions from Jerry Hubbard and Jerome Benton, with songwriting from Jesse Johnson and Morris Day. Tracks like "Jungle Love" and "Ice Cream Castles" showcase the band’s knack for infectious rhythms and playful lyricism. The album’s visual presentation benefits from artwork by Jeff Ayeroff, Jeri McManus, The Starr * Company, and Larry Williams, adding a distinctive visual flair that matches the music’s spirited energy. This 1984 vinyl pressing delivers the full experience on Warner Bros. Records, making it a solid choice for collectors interested in the era’s original sound. The record shows noticeable wear with increased surface noise, so it’s best suited for listeners who appreciate the music more than pristine fidelity. It’s a pressing that wears its history plainly, much like the band’s straightforward charm—no need to search for a mint copy when you’re after the genuine article’s groove and attitude.

Listen / sample

The Time - Ice Cream Castle
