His first zarzuela, "La Venta del Puerto o Juanillo El Contrabandista," premiered in 1846, marking the beginning of his influential journey in Spanish music. As a founding member of the Sociedad Artística Musical in 1851, Oudrid played a vital role in promoting musical culture in Spain. He also led orchestras at renowned venues such as Teatro del Circo and Teatro de la Zarzuela. His legacy includes notable compositions like "El Postillón de la Rioja" and "La Marcha Triunfal de Africa." Oudrid passed away on March 13, 1877, while preparing for a performance of the opera "Mignon," leaving behind a rich musical heritage.
