They became known for their innovative sound, largely crafted at Strawberry Studios. Between 1972 and 1978, the band achieved remarkable success, with five consecutive albums reaching the UK top ten. The group's impact is underscored by notable singles like "Rubber Bullets," "I'm Not in Love," and "Dreadlock Holiday," which secured their place in music history.
