Adam Ant, born on November 3, 1954, is an influential English musician and actor known for his role as the lead singer of the new wave band Adam and the Ants. He achieved significant success in the early 1980s, scoring ten UK top ten hits, including three that reached number one. His debut album with the band, "Dirk Wears White Sox," topped the UK Independent Albums Chart, while his second album, "Kings of the Wild Frontier," not only claimed the number one spot on the UK Album Chart but also won Best British Album at the 1982 BRIT Awards. Throughout his career, Adam Ant continued to make an impact with his solo work, notably with the hit single "Goody Two Shoes," which also reached number one in the UK. After a hiatus, he resumed his music career in 2010, releasing new albums and embarking on national tours. In addition to his music, he has ventured into acting, appearing in various films and television shows. His enduring legacy includes notable songs like "Stand and Deliver," "Prince Charming," and "Antmusic," which remain celebrated in the music landscape.
