Angel

Angel, originating from Washington, D.C., made their debut in 1975 with founding members Punky Meadows, Mickey Jones, and Gregg Giuffria. The band quickly gained attention for their striking glam rock aesthetic, characterized by flamboyant performances and distinctive white satin outfits. They signed with Casablanca Records, sharing the label with iconic acts like Kiss, and released their self-titled album "Angel" the same year. Renowned for their androgynous image and intricate stage setups, Angel became known for hits such as "Seduce Me Tonight" and "Punky's Whips." After a period of inactivity, they reformed in the late 1990s, introducing a new lineup and releasing "In the Beginning" in 1999. Continuing to evolve, Angel released "Risen" in 2019, followed by "Once Upon a Time" in 2023, showcasing their enduring presence in the rock scene.
