Black Sabbath

Heavy metal music
Black Sabbath emerged from Birmingham in 1968, consisting of guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler, and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne. Initially named the Polka Tulk Blues Band and later Earth, they officially became Black Sabbath in 1969. Their groundbreaking albums, particularly "Black Sabbath," "Paranoid," and "Master of Reality," laid the foundation for heavy metal music. In 1979, Ozzy Osbourne departed from the group and was succeeded by Ronnie James Dio. The original lineup reunited in 1997, leading to the release of a live album titled "Reunion" in 1998. Over their career, Black Sabbath has sold more than 70 million records globally and received induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Their iconic songs, including "Iron Man" and "Heaven and Hell," continue to resonate with fans around the world.
