Buffalo Tom hails from Boston, Massachusetts, and has been a significant name in the American alternative rock scene since their inception in 1986. The band features guitarist Bill Janovitz, bassist Chris Colbourn, and drummer Tom Maginnis. Their name is a playful nod to Buffalo Springfield, reflecting their musical influences. Among their notable tracks, "Sodajerk" and "Summer" achieved impressive rankings on the Heatseekers chart, with "Summer" reaching No. 4. In addition to their chart successes, the band's album "Big Red Letter Day" made a notable impact, peaking at No. 17 on the UK Albums Chart in 1993. They also contributed the song "For All To See" to the AIDS-Benefit Album No Alternative in the same year. More recently, Buffalo Tom released "Quiet and Peace" on March 2, 2018, continuing to showcase their enduring talent in the music industry.
