Chopper One was an alternative rock band hailing from Los Angeles, California, active from 1995 to 1999. The group was established by Jason Cropper, who was previously a guitarist for Weezer, alongside his then-wife Amy Cropper. They released their only full-length album, "Now Playing," in 1997, which was later reissued in 1998 under the name "Chopper One." The band's music often drew comparisons to Weezer, with notable tracks including "Free Lunch" and "Touch My Fuzz." Alongside Cropper and his wife, the lineup featured Tyrone Rio, Troy Zeigler, and Dallan Baumgarten. Chopper One's journey came to an end in 1999, leaving behind a distinct sound that resonated with fans of the alternative rock genre.
