One of his most notable achievements was the soundtrack for the film "Super Fly," which sold over 12 million copies, highlighting his impact on both music and culture. Despite facing a life-changing injury in 1990 that left him paralyzed from the neck down, Mayfield continued to create and record music, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to his craft.
