They gained significant attention with their debut album, "Air Conditioning," which was notable for being the first commercially available LP picture disc in the UK. The band's early work achieved commercial success, with their first three albums charting in the Top 20 of the UK Albums Chart. Their single "Back Street Luv" became particularly popular, reaching number 4 on the UK Singles Chart in 1971. Originally formed from a group called Sisyphus, Curved Air featured musicians with diverse backgrounds, contributing to their unique sound. Over the years, the band has experienced several breakups and reunions, yet they have continued to create and perform music, leaving a lasting impact on the progressive rock scene. Other notable tracks include "It Happened Today," "Young Mother in Style," and "Screw," showcasing their innovative approach to songwriting.
