Jazz
Eje Thelin was a prominent Swedish jazz trombonist known for his self-taught musical journey. He began his career with the Pygmé Jazz Band and later led his own quintet from 1961 to 1965. In 1968, Thelin relocated to Austria, where he contributed to the Academy of Music in Graz as an educator. Throughout the 1970s, he helmed the Eje Thelin Group back in Sweden, gaining recognition for his innovative approach to jazz fusion and electronics. Thelin's collaborations with notable musicians like Roy Brooks, Graham Collier, and Kenny Wheeler enriched his work, resulting in significant releases such as "Acoustic Space" and "E. T. Project Live At Nefertiti." His ability to experiment with diverse sounds left a lasting impact on the jazz scene, showcasing his versatility and creativity as an artist.
