Electric Light Orchestra, commonly known as ELO, originated in Birmingham in 1970, founded by Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, and Bev Bevan. The band is renowned for its unique blend of pop and classical music, which has earned them a dedicated following. Their most notable work, the album "Out of the Blue," was released in 1977 and remains a high point in their discography. ELO achieved significant success with two other albums, "Discovery" and "Time," both of which topped the British charts. Over their career, ELO sold over 50 million records globally and produced timeless hits such as "Mr. Blue Sky," "Evil Woman," and "Don't Bring Me Down." In recognition of their contributions to music, ELO was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. After a period of inactivity, Jeff Lynne re-formed the band in 2014, reviving ELO's distinctive sound for a new generation of fans.
