3 Things You Need To Know
Start With Their Breakthrough Album
Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) is the 1983 album that really defined Eurythmics' signature synthpop sound and brought them wide attention. It’s the perfect entry point to experience their blend of synth-driven pop and new wave.
Evolved From Synthpop to Blue-Eyed Soul
While they began rooted in synthpop and new wave, Eurythmics expanded into blue-eyed soul and pop rock territory, especially noticeable on albums like Be Yourself Tonight (1985). This shift adds a richer, more organic feel to their electronic base.
Explore Their Early Experimental Roots
Their 1981 debut album In the Garden shows a more experimental, art pop side before their polished synthpop hits. It’s a worthwhile deep cut for those curious about the band’s artistic beginnings.
