Foghat originated in London in 1971 and quickly gained recognition for their distinctive sound, characterized by the use of electric slide guitar. They made a significant mark on the rock scene with their 1975 hit "Slow Ride," which remains one of their most celebrated tracks. Over the years, the band has released 17 studio albums, achieving notable commercial success with eight gold albums and one platinum album. Their live album, "Foghat Live," achieved double platinum status, further solidifying their popularity. After relocating to the United States following their signing with Bearsville Records, Foghat continued to evolve, experiencing several line-up changes. Charlie Huhn took over as lead vocalist in 2000 and held the position until 2022. Despite these changes, the band remains active in both recording new music and touring, showcasing classics like "I Just Want to Make Love to You" and "Drivin' Wheel" to their enduring fan base.
