Free emerged from London in 1968, bringing a distinctive sound to the rock music scene. The original lineup included Paul Rodgers, Paul Kossoff, Andy Fraser, and Simon Kirke. Their third studio album, "Fire and Water," released in 1970, featured the iconic single "All Right Now," which achieved significant chart success, reaching No. 2 in the UK and No. 4 in the US. This song, along with others like "Wishing Well" and "My Brother Jake," contributed to Free's legacy as they sold over 20 million records worldwide. The band performed in more than 700 arenas and festivals during their career, showcasing their powerful live performances. After disbanding in 1973 following the release of their final album, "Heartbreaker," members Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke went on to co-found the renowned supergroup Bad Company, continuing their influence in the rock genre.
