George Feyer

George Feyer was a talented Canadian cartoonist, born in Hungary in 1921. After fleeing to Canada following the Soviet takeover of his homeland, he rose to prominence in the 1950s through his work on CBC Television and as a cartoonist for Maclean's magazine. His unique style played a significant role in shaping Canadian popular culture during that era. In 1965, Feyer relocated to Los Angeles to pursue opportunities in Hollywood television production. Tragically, he passed away from self-inflicted gunshot wounds on March 30, 1967. His contributions to the art form were recognized posthumously when he was inducted into the Canadian Cartoonist Hall of Fame in 2006.
