JELLYFISH emerged from San Francisco in 1989, captivating audiences with their unique fusion of 1960s classic rock and power pop. Led by the talented songwriting duo of Andy Sturmer and Roger Manning, the band released two well-received albums: "Bellybutton" in 1990 and "Spilt Milk" in 1993. Their most recognized single, "Baby's Coming Back," marked their presence on the Billboard Hot 100, while three of their tracks made it into the top twenty on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. Despite their creative successes, Jellyfish disbanded in 1994, largely due to challenges with record sales and internal artistic differences. Following the split, Andy Sturmer collaborated with the Japanese pop duo Puffy AmiYumi, continuing his musical journey. The band's legacy remains vibrant, highlighted by memorable songs like "The King Is Half-Undressed" and "The Ghost at Number One."
