Men Without Hats, hailing from Montreal, Quebec, emerged in 1977 as a punk rock band before transitioning to new wave and synth-pop. They gained widespread recognition in the 1980s, particularly with their iconic hit "The Safety Dance," which showcased lead singer Ivan Doroschuk's distinctive baritone voice and the band's inventive use of synthesizers. Over the years, they have produced several notable tracks, including "Pop Goes the World" and "Where Do The Boys Go?". After a hiatus, the band reunited in 2010 and released their album "Love in the Age of War" in 2012. Since then, Men Without Hats have continued to create and tour, with their recent works including the "Again" EP and LP released in 2021 and 2022. Throughout their journey, Ivan Doroschuk has remained the sole consistent member, guiding the band through various musical phases and ensuring their lasting presence in the music scene.
