Stevie Ray Vaughan, born on October 3, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, was a highly influential American musician and guitarist renowned for his work as the frontman of the blues rock trio Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. His mainstream career, though brief at just seven years, left a significant mark on the blues music scene. Vaughan's debut album, "Texas Flood," received critical acclaim and set the stage for his rise to fame. He achieved notable success with his fourth studio album, "In Step," which featured the number-one hit "Crossfire." Despite battling alcoholism and drug addiction throughout his life, he completed rehabilitation in 1986 and continued to inspire countless musicians. Vaughan's legacy endures, as he sold over 15 million albums in the U.S. alone and was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
