Temple of the Dog emerged from Seattle in 1990, born out of a desire by Chris Cornell to honor his late friend Andrew Wood. This American rock supergroup featured talented musicians from Soundgarden and what would become Pearl Jam. Their self-titled album, released in April 1991 after just 15 days in the studio, included the hit single "Hunger Strike," which helped catapult them into the spotlight. Despite their brief initial run, Temple of the Dog left a lasting impact, contributing to the grunge movement of the early '90s. They reunited for a tour in 2016, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their iconic album. Other notable tracks from the album include "Reach Down" and "Say Hello 2 Heaven," showcasing the band's signature sound and emotional depth.
