The Doors

The Doors emerged from Los Angeles in 1965, quickly establishing themselves as a pivotal force in rock music during the 1960s. The lineup featured Jim Morrison on vocals, Ray Manzarek on keyboards, Robby Krieger on guitar, and John Densmore on drums. They released six studio albums in just five years, with their self-titled debut in 1967 featuring the iconic hit "Light My Fire." Despite Morrison's untimely death in 1971, the band continued as a trio until their disbandment in 1973. With over 36 million albums sold in the U.S. and more than 100 million worldwide, The Doors left an indelible mark on music history. Their provocative style and powerful sound made them both influential and controversial. In recognition of their impact, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. Other notable songs from their repertoire include "Break On Through (To the Other Side)," "People Are Strange," and "L.A. Woman."
