The Miracles emerged from Detroit in 1955, making their mark as the first successful recording artists for Motown Records. Originally known as The Five Chimes and later as the Matadors, they adopted the name The Miracles in 1958. The classic lineup featured notable members like Smokey Robinson and Claudette Rogers.
