The Sallyangie was a folk duo active in the 1960s, comprised of siblings Mike and Sally Oldfield. They released their only album, "Children of the Sun," in 1968, which showcased their unique sound but did not achieve significant commercial success. After a brief national tour, the duo parted ways in late 1969. Despite their limited time together, both members went on to enjoy successful solo careers. One of their notable tracks, "Child of Allah," was later featured on Sally Oldfield's debut solo album, "Water Bearer," released in 1978. The duo's name cleverly combines 'Sally' and 'Angie,' the latter being inspired by a guitar instrumental.
