Velvet Revolver emerged in 2002 as a prominent hard rock supergroup, featuring notable members from Guns N' Roses, including Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum, alongside lead vocalist Scott Weiland, who previously performed with Stone Temple Pilots. Their debut album, "Contraband," released in 2004, was a commercial triumph, showcasing hits like "Slither," which earned the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2005. Following their second album, "Libertad," in 2007, the band faced challenges that led to an indefinite hiatus in 2008 after Weiland's departure. Despite this, they reunited for a special performance in 2012, marking their final show before Weiland's untimely death in 2015. Velvet Revolver left a lasting impact on the rock scene with notable tracks such as "Fall to Pieces" and "Dirty Little Thing."
