Copy notes: Near perfect vinyl, jacket still in shrink with hype sticker. Like new album.

Billy Joel’s The Stranger stands as a defining moment in his career, blending intimate storytelling with polished rock and pop sensibilities. The album features memorable tracks like "Just The Way You Are" and "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant," where Joel’s knack for narrative shines through a focused ensemble arrangement, highlighted by the subtle accordion work of Dominic Cortese and tasteful orchestration from Patrick Williams. The production team, including Phil Ramone and Jim Boyer, crafts a sound that remains inviting without overstaying its welcome—proof that an album can be both approachable and carefully constructed. Billy Joel’s whistling adds a personal touch, almost like a wink to listeners paying close attention. This 1977 pressing offers a solid vintage experience on vinyl, presenting the album with glossy, very clean grooves that carry only minor surface marks typical for its age. The lacquer cut by Bob Ludwig and TJ ensures a quality transfer, making this copy a reliable choice for those wanting to hear The Stranger as it was heard near its original release. With vinyl in very good-plus condition, it’s a neat chance to enjoy Joel’s storytelling in a format that invites focused listening without distractions. The Stranger isn’t just a record; it’s a conversation starter that fits comfortably on any shelf where songwriting and rock craft meet.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
