Black Ivory’s Baby Won’t You Change Your Mind followed their debut as the Harlem R&B group’s second studio album, released on Today/Perception. The album’s pull is right in that early-’70s soul setting: Patrick Adams and David Jordan produced it, and “Time Is Love” became a Billboard R&B charting single, reaching No. 37. For anyone drawn to vocal-group soul with a New York R&B pedigree, this is a very appealing Black Ivory title from their first run. This is a 1972 vinyl pressing priced at $16, giving the copy nice vintage context without leaning on any unsupported rarity claim.
