Hits! by Boz Scaggs brings together some of his most polished and soulful moments, arranged with finesse by David Paich and conducted by Sid Sharp. The album features a rich blend of horns and winds from seasoned players like Vincent DeRosa, Jim Horn, and Tom Scott, adding depth to tracks such as "Lowdown" and "Lido Shuffle." The involvement of producers Joe Wissert and David Foster hints at the care behind the sound, where the Moog synth textures subtly weave in without overwhelming the acoustic ensemble feel. It’s a collection that rewards focused listening, with each song revealing layers of musicianship and thoughtful production. This 1980 pressing offers a solid vintage experience on vinyl, presenting the album as it was heard in its era. The record is graded VG+, meaning it shows signs of gentle use like light surface marks or minor scuffs but maintains a strong playback quality without distractions that would overshadow the music. For those who appreciate the interplay of acoustic instruments with tasteful studio polish, this pressing is a dependable choice—after all, it’s hard to resist a record that makes "Breakdown Dead Ahead" sound like a smooth road trip companion rather than a detour.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
