Chicago – Chicago Transit Authority

Chicago Transit Authority is the debut studio album by the American rock band Chicago, released in 1969 on Columbia Records. Produced by James William Guercio, the album blends jazz rock, blues rock, and psychedelic rock, showcasing the band's distinctive horn-driven sound. It is the only album released under the band's original name, Chicago Transit Authority, before shortening it to Chicago. Notable tracks include "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?" and "Beginnings," which highlight the group's fusion of complex arrangements and accessible melodies. This vintage 1969 pressing comes on two vinyl records, both graded VG+, indicating minor surface marks but overall good playability with only light background noise.
