Frank Zappa – One Size Fits All

Frank Zappa’s One Size Fits All closes the studio run of the Mothers of Invention, making it a key late-Mothers title rather than just another Zappa detour. Produced by Zappa for DiscReet, the album draws on the summer/fall 1974 band with George Duke, Chester Thompson, Ruth Underwood, Tom Fowler, and Napoleon Murphy Brock. “Inca Roads” is a major reason this record has such pull, with its unusual time signatures and Ruth Underwood’s prominent marimba work showing Zappa’s jazz-fusion and avant-rock sides in full motion. This is a 1975 vinyl pressing priced at $24, with a VG++ record grade. That grade points to glossy, very clean vinyl overall, with only very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected. For a vintage Zappa copy from the DiscReet period, the strong vinyl grade is the main appeal here.
