Gary Moore – Grinding Stone

Grinding Stone is the lone studio album by The Gary Moore Band, a 1973 set that puts Moore’s blues-rock and hard-rock side right up front. The album also has a notable behind-the-board connection: it was produced by Martin Birch, whose work with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath gives the record added interest for heavy rock listeners. It’s a good one for anyone drawn to Moore’s more guitar-forward material and the early-’70s stretch where blues and hard rock were still rubbing shoulders closely. This copy is a 1985 reissue and UK import, a nice vintage vinyl option at $22 without leaning on any unsupported rarity claims. The record is graded VG++, meaning glossy, very clean vinyl with only very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected, and no major condition concerns implied. For this title, the clean VG++ grade and UK import pressing are the main reasons to take notice.
