Genesis's 1981 album Abacab marks a pivotal moment where the band embraced a more direct, synth-driven approach while still weaving in their signature complexity. Tracks like "No Reply At All" and "Keep It Dark" showcase a blend of pop sensibility and progressive textures, offering a fresh take that stands apart from their earlier, more sprawling epics. The album’s leaner arrangements and rhythmic focus make it a compelling listen for those who appreciate a group willing to experiment within their own evolving sound. This 1981 vinyl pressing presents Abacab with a glossy finish and very clean grooves, bearing only minor, light surface marks typical of careful previous play. It’s an inviting edition for collectors who want to hear this chapter of Genesis’s journey on vinyl without the distractions of heavier wear. If you’ve ever wondered whether the band’s transition could fit neatly on a record, this pressing handles it with the kind of crisp clarity that keeps the music’s shifts feeling intentional rather than accidental.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
