Maverick finds George Thorogood And The Destroyers honing their gritty blues-rock approach with a set that rewards focused listening. Tracks like "I Drink Alone" and "Willie And The Hand Jive" showcase the band’s knack for weaving storytelling with taut, acoustic-driven energy, while "The Ballad Of Maverick" adds a narrative edge that deepens the album’s character. This 1985 pressing presents the group’s sound in a format that suits those who appreciate a compact ensemble’s interplay without the distractions of overproduction. This vinyl pressing offers a clean listening experience with only minor surface marks that don’t interfere with playback, reflecting careful handling over the decades. Its very good plus condition means you’ll encounter glossy grooves that invite repeat spins, making it a solid choice for fans of Thorogood’s straightforward, no-frills rock approach. Given the band’s legendary 50 states in 50 days tour, this album might even inspire you to hit the road—or at least the turntable—with Maverick spinning as a reliable companion.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
