Hot Tuna – First Pull Up Then Pull Down

Hot Tuna’s second album, First Pull Up Then Pull Down, was released in 1971 on RCA Victor. Produced by band member Jorma Kaukonen, the record showcases the group’s blend of blues rock with traditional blues influences. The album features tracks like "Candy Man" and "Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burning," highlighting Hot Tuna’s acoustic and electric interplay. Known for its raw energy and rootsy feel, this vintage vinyl pressing captures the band during an early, formative period. The record is graded VG+, indicating minor hairline marks and some wear but overall good playability with only light background noise. This pressing offers a solid listening experience of Hot Tuna’s distinctive sound from the early 1970s.
