Joe Jackson – Look Sharp!

Look Sharp! introduced Joe Jackson as a debut-album force in 1979, landing right in the punchy new wave and power pop moment of late-’70s rock. Produced by David Kershenbaum, the record quickly found an international audience, reaching No. 20 on Australia’s Kent Music Report and earning platinum certification in Canada by November 1979. Its white-shoes cover also became part of the album’s identity, later ranking No. 22 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 greatest album covers. For a Joe Jackson vinyl LP, this is the kind of early-career title that shows why his debut made such an immediate impression. This 1979 vinyl pressing is graded VG++, a glossy, very clean record with only one or two tiny light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected.
