John Mellencamp- Uh-Huh-LP

John Mellencamp – Uh-Huh

Uh-Huh marked the moment John Mellencamp brought his real last name onto a studio album, after earlier records under Johnny Cougar and John Cougar. Originally released in 1983, it was his seventh studio album and a clear transition point in his catalog. Co-produced by Mellencamp and Don Gehman, the album leans into direct rock & roll, pop-rock drive, and a harder edge than his earlier work. That name-change context gives this 1983 vinyl LP extra appeal for anyone following Mellencamp’s move into his more recognizable ’80s identity. At under $15, this is an affordable John Mellencamp vinyl record with strong condition appeal. This 1983 vinyl pressing is graded VG++, with glossy vinyl that looks fantastic overall and only one or two very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected.
