John Morris’ Mel Brooks in High Anxiety Soundtrack connects Morris’ film scoring with Brooks’ 1977 parody of psychoanalysis and Alfred Hitchcock thrillers. The soundtrack was released in 1978 and includes music tied to Brooks’ film world, including material from The Producers and Blazing Saddles. High Anxiety also has extra Brooks context: he produced, directed, and starred in the film, making it his first film as producer and his first speaking lead role.
