Joni Mitchell’s Court And Spark stands out for its seamless blend of folk roots with jazz-inflected arrangements, a sound enriched by Tom Scott’s woodwind contributions and the deft engineering of Henry Lewy and Bernie Grundman. Songs like "Help Me" and the title track reveal Mitchell’s lyrical sharpness and melodic grace, while her own painting on the cover adds a personal touch to this Asylum Records release. The album’s sophisticated yet accessible approach invites focused listening without sacrificing emotional warmth. This 1976 vinyl pressing offers a solid listen for anyone drawn to Mitchell’s mid-70s work, presented here in a well-maintained state that falls into the strong everyday use category. Expect light surface marks and minor paper scuffs typical of a VG+ grade, with no defects likely to interfere significantly with playback. It’s a sturdy example that brings both the music and artwork to life, proving that sometimes the real spark is finding the right pressing to enjoy this enduring classic.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
