Les McCann- River High River Low-LP

Les McCann – River High River Low

Les McCann’s River High River Low is a fine bin-crossing title for anyone drawn to jazz with soul-jazz and funk running through it. McCann was a jazz pianist and vocalist, best known for helping push soul jazz forward and for his 1969 recording of the protest song “Compared to What.” His music has also had a long second life through hip hop sampling, which gives records like this extra pull beyond the jazz shelf. This is a 1976 vintage vinyl pressing priced at $14, making it an affordable Les McCann copy with a clean condition grade. The record is graded VG++, a strong upper-grade used copy: glossy vinyl with only very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected, and no major condition concerns implied.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
