Redd Foxx’s The Laff Of The Party (Volume 2) captures the sharp, unfiltered humor of one of America’s early stand-up pioneers. Known for his tough, streetwise comedy, Foxx’s storytelling here ranges from the absurd to the satirical, with tracks like "Beans And Pineapple Juice" and "The Suicide" showcasing his knack for blending everyday situations with biting wit. This 1956 pressing offers a snapshot of Foxx’s style before the rise of later comedians like Richard Pryor, making it an intriguing listen for anyone interested in the roots of modern stand-up. This vinyl LP from 1956 brings a vintage presence to any collection, and while the record is graded VG, it remains fully playable with some expected surface noise and visible wear typical of a well-loved pressing from this era. It’s a solid example for those curious about comedy on vinyl, especially since spoken word albums don’t often get the same spotlight as music releases. It’s a good reminder that sometimes the best party guests are the ones who bring stories instead of songs. The Laff Of The Party (Volume 2) - Vinyl, LP, Album.
