The Grateful Dead – Europe '72

Europe ’72 documents the Grateful Dead’s 1972 Western Europe tour, spread across a triple live set that became one of the band’s key early live albums. It also has real lineup significance: it was the first Dead album with Keith and Donna Jean Godchaux, and the last to include founding member Ron “Pigpen” McKernan. The material draws from the band’s folk-rock, country-rock, and psychedelic sides, with familiar pieces here including “Sugaree,” “China Cat Sunflower,” and “I Know You Rider.” This copy is a 1972 Warner Bros. 3WX 2668 repress priced at $48, a nice vintage way to get the full Europe ’72 set on vinyl. All three records are conservatively graded VG, so expect a playable copy with more visible wear and possible background noise, but graded with some caution rather than oversold. For a Dead live title with this much musical and lineup importance, the same-year repress detail gives this copy extra appeal.
