If You Can Believe Your Eyes And Ears marks The Mama’s And The Papa’s entrance into the mid-60s folk-rock scene with a blend of tight harmonies and thoughtful songwriting that still resonates today. Produced by Lou Adler and engineered by Bones Howe, the album features the delicate electric violin of Peter Pilafian, adding a distinctive texture to tracks like "Monday, Monday" and "California Dreamin’." The artwork by Guy Webster complements the music’s blend of sunshine and introspection, framing the band’s sound with a memorable visual identity. Contributions from session musicians like P.F. Sloan and Larry Knechtel enrich the acoustic ensemble arrangements, making it as much a showcase of skilled musicianship as vocal interplay. This reissue on vinyl carries the Dunhill catalog number DS-50006 and offers a reliable way to experience the album’s layered production and vocal clarity. The pressing details are less certain, but the VG+ condition indicates a well-cared-for record with only minor surface marks or paper scuffs that shouldn’t interfere with playback. If your collection needs a dose of 60s harmony and a reminder that sometimes the eyes and ears do agree, this pressing presents a solid listening companion. After all, it’s not every day you find an album title that doubles as a polite challenge to your senses.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
