Rhythm Come Forward (A Reggae Anthology) gathers a selection of tracks that invite attentive listening, spotlighting acoustic ensembles that emphasize subtle interplay over studio gloss. This 1984 compilation offers a chance to explore reggae through a more intimate lens, where small ensemble arrangements bring a focused warmth to the grooves. It’s the sort of collection that rewards ears tuned to the nuanced rhythms and understated textures often overshadowed by bigger productions. This vinyl pressing presents the anthology with a clean, glossy surface showing only minor, faint marks typical of careful handling. Graded VG++, it stands ready for regular play without concern for distracting noise. The 12-inch format enhances the acoustic details, making this edition a practical choice for anyone looking to add a thoughtfully curated reggae set to their collection without fuss. Sometimes, even a compilation can have a clear point of view—here, it’s all about the rhythm stepping quietly forward. Various.
