Make It Big by Wham! stands as a defining moment in 1980s pop, showcasing George Michael’s knack for blending catchy synth-pop hooks with soulful grooves. Tracks like "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" and "Careless Whisper" highlight the duo’s ability to craft infectious melodies layered with polished production, thanks in part to engineer Chris Porter and assistant Paul Gomersall. George Michael’s role as producer and arranger ensures the album’s sound remains tight and focused, offering more than just surface-level pop—there’s a refined craftsmanship behind the dance beats and heartfelt lyrics. This 1984 vinyl pressing carries the original Columbia catalog number FC 39595 and presents the album in a format that reflects the era’s vibrant electronic and funk influences. The record’s VG+ condition means it’s ready for regular play with only minor surface marks that won’t overshadow the music’s energy. It’s the kind of record that fits neatly in a collection where the pop shelf meets a well-tuned ear for soulful songwriting—just don’t expect "Freedom" to grant you any actual liberties beyond a good groove.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
